Today a Travis County judge granted a temporary restraining order to stop construction on the industrial park currently being built at Highway 71 and Serene Hills Drive.

This temporary restraining order is a win, not just for Bee Cave but for the entire community that surrounds this industrial development.

Residents have been complaining about intolerable noise levels, light pollution, and traffic disruptions, all of which pose ongoing threats to public safety, property values, and the health and welfare of the surrounding communities.

The temporary restraining order halts construction on the industrial development for 14 days so the City of Bee Cave can inspect the site and document any violations of the development agreement or city ordinances.

It is further ordered that developers immediately provide the City with access to all material required by the development agreement, including access to site plans, construction documents, engineering reports or certifications related to site development, government permits or approvals and submissions to governmental authorities.

This case is far from over, but at least residents will get a break from construction over the next two weeks and the City of Bee Cave will finally be allowed on site to properly inspect this development.

The next hearing date for this case is scheduled for November 12.
